A Little Bit Of Watch Heaven

I was lucky enough to receive this watch for my birthday from my best friends. I fell in love with this Abbott Lyon watch as soon as they launched their Exclusive STELLAR Collection in July.

For those of you that may not already know, I live in an area of the North East named Washington. Washington Village is a beautiful little area steeped in history and in recent years has really upped its game in terms of bringing a little bit of café culture to this part of the world.

Scrub Love

Heyyyyyy, today’s review is all about SCRUB LOVE, a coffee based body scrub that is suppose to make you say goodbye to dry flaky skin and say hello to soft glowing skin.

So What Are My Thoughts?

I have been using this product for over a week now and I couldn’t be happier with the product. The scrub is super soft on my skin and is awesome for exfoliating. I am a girl who wears fake tan all year around, so to find something that helps take my fake tan off nicely without causing any redness is AMAZING. Not only have I loved this product but my boyfriend has to. He suffers from eczema, so finding a product that he can apply to his skin is very rare. This has a lot to do with the fact it has no chemicals in the product, it is a 100% natural and organic. Additionally, I have suffered from acne in the past and I am always cautious about applying products to my face so been able to apply this product is a HUGE benefit for me.

Scrub Love comes in three different formulas, Original Lovin, Coconut Affair and Mint Temptation. I have been using Original Lovin which is priced at £11.95. Each formula includes different ingredients which you can find on the back of each packet and over on their website. The smell of the original lovin scrub just smells of coffee, which in my opinion isn’t the best smell but I have heard amazing things about the smell of the Coconut Affair and Mint Temptation. When my Original Lovin scrub runs out I will be sure to purchase either the coconut or mint which is priced at £12.95.

Not only is SCRUB LOVE made from 100% natural ingredients and leaves your skin glowing and super smooth, it helps banish blemishes, target acne, stretch marks and cellulite.

Are you ready to feel the love?

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam: Review

I am one of them girls that puts tan on whatever the day, doesn't matter if it's raining, the sun is shining, I'm staying in or going out, I apply that tan to my pale skin. My girls always laugh at how much Cocoa Brown tan I have on my dressing table but I'm always the first person they come to if you need a little glow in their life....I've got your back ladies, don't worry MWAH!

Although Cocoa Brown tan has been my go to tan for a while now, I thought I would get my hands on some of the Bondi Sands tan everybody seems to be loving at the minute. ASOS had 20% off everything a few weeks ago, making the tan £11.99 instead of £14.99 so I just couldn't resist. I know what you're thinking, a little on the pricey compared to Cocoa Brown but I always think, if it's not over St Tropez prices than it isn't too bad. I used to wear that stuff all the time and I soon give up on it because of how much I was going through..poor bank account couldn't take it.

Bondi Sands have a range of fake tanning products but I went for the developing foam in 'dark'  as it is the formula I would normally use and I love the 'dark' tan look.

Before apply the foam onto my skin, I moisturised my whole body using the Soap&Glory Body Milk, just so the tan went on alot smoother and didn't gather around my knees, ankles and elbows. After the moisturiser had all soaked in to my body, I used a tanning mitt to cover my whole body in tan, of course I got somebody to do my back as I STILL haven't mastered that skill just yet. To be honest I don't think I ever will...please let me know your tricks if you have though :)

The instructions on the bottle does advise leaving the tan onto your skin for up to 6 hours for the tan to develop, however I always leave mine overnight. I suppose it all depends on your lifestyle and how it fits into your routine but I would definitely say try to leave it on for the full 6 hours. I did use the 'dark' foam, however you can buy the foam in a light - medium colour.

I was literally over the moon with the results as you can see from my 'before and after' pictures the tan looks very fresh and natural. I have had this tan on for over a week now and it's just starting to come off. The one thing I do have to mention about this tan is the smell, it doesn't give off that horrible biscuityyy smell, it is so fresh and coconutyyy...honestly soooo dreamy :)

If you are wanting to pick up some tan to try yourself, I know you can purchase the range from ASOS, Superdrug and Boots. Superdrug have got money off all the Bondi Sands products at the minute so goooo buy, buy buyyyy! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much for reading.

If you do try any of the Bondi Sands products, do comment below and let me know how you got on. I would love to hear from you.

What's New In My Makeup Bag?

I wanted to share with you a few new bits that I have added to my makeup bag recently, some I have been trying out for a while and some I've literally bought within the last few weeks. Sooooooooo here goes...

Nouveau Lashes Conditioning Serum – £14.99
If you are a regular reader of my blog,  you will know I have had the LVL Lash treatment and absolutely loved it (Click HERE to read all about it). After having the treatment I was advised to use the Nouveau Lashes Conditioning Serum twice a day to maintain longer, stronger and fuller lashes. As I am a member of Nouveau Lashes #lashgang, I had already been kindly given this produce to try and I have to admit I didn't actually think this would work. However, the days I didn't apply the serum to my lashes, my lashes would point in different directions and my mascara wouldn’t go on as nicely without causing clumps. To make sure I always apply the serum, I popped it into my everyday makeup bag so I didn’t forget. Now my eyelashes are starting to go back to normal as the LVL treatment is wearing off, I still find myself apply the serum before my makeup routine as it gives my lashes that extra lift and also separates my lashes really well before adding mascara. I would definitely recommend this product if you’re going to get LVL treatment or looking for something to give your lashes a little bit of a pamper.

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara - £3.30
First things first the packaging, well it does nothing for me. I know, I know, it’s all about what’s inside that counts but when searching through the Essence mascaras in Wilkinsons I was in two minds whether to buy it or not because of the packaging (hands on eyes monkey face emoji). Nevertheless, one of my friends has been ranting and raving about Essence mascaras for a while so I popped it in my basket. I have been trailing this mascara daily for a week now and I have to say I am EXTREMELY impressed with the dramatic results. The curve of the bristles manages to grab onto lashes I didn’t even know I had and it gives my lashes the best volume and length. I do find one coat is enough as my lashes begin to stick together but for a low prices product this mascara is dreammmmmmmmmy! I don’t know if it will be a mascara that will stay in my makeup bag forever but it definitely here to stay for now!

Dunes At Dusk MAC Gleamtones Powder - £25.50
Okay, so I am in LOVE with this product and it will never leave my makeup bag until it eventually runs out! This Gleamtones Powder is from the Vibe Tribe collection that MAC has recently launched for Summer 2016. As my Soft and Gentle highlighter had recently run out I HAD to purchase this product, I mean look at the packaging, it’s just amazing right?  I have been using this product as a highlighter but I don’t see why you couldn’t use a small brush and use the warm tone as a bronzer.  As this product does have a selection of four shades to work with, I have been customising a different tone each time when using it as a highlighter, depending if I’m looking for a warmer or cooler tone on my skin. The texture is incredibly and blends flawlessly on my skin. I couldn’t recommend this product enough, if you can still get your hands on one honestly....buy buyyyy buyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Sleek Cream Contour Kit – Medium - £10.99
It is safe to say that contouring is the in thing at the minute and it’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. Of course like most girls, I wanted to see what the fuss was all about but I’m not going to lie, I was a little unsure about what to purchase as I have seen some DISGUSTING contoured faces (eeeeeeeek). After seeing Sleeks Cream Contour Kit for only £10.99 in Superdrug, I thought what better way to start then buying something quite cheap and brand new. This Sleek Cream Contour Kit has been in my makeup bag for just over a month now and I LOVE it. I have found the kit really easy to use, especially for a first timer like myself. It is easy to blend and doesn't feel too thick on your face. For £10.99, I don’t think you can go wrong with this product especially if you’re new to contouring like me! Oh, and it has a little guide to help you figure out where to put the six different shades in different areas of your face..WINNER!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Copenhagon - £5.50
If you didn't know already NYX Cosmetics has finally hit Boots stores. Wooohoooo! I couldn’t be happier as I have wanted to try their products for so long. The product that caught my eye when looking around Boots Metrocentre has to be the Soft Matt Lip Creams. The price of each lip cream was only £5.50 and the colour selection was endless. I purchased a few colours but’ Copenhagen’ has got to be my favourite. I just ADORE the colour and if you are anything like me and LOVE colours like Diva or Rebel from MAC you will LOVE this colour to. In terms of apply the product, the cream sets relatively quickly and stays on your lips for round 2/3 hours.

What product could you not leave the house with?
Have you tried any of these products yet?

Hope you’ve enjoy reading ‘What’s new in my makeup bag?’

Oh and if anyone is wondering where the 'Sassy' makeup bag is from Click HERE to find out. BARGAIN buy!

Carter & Fitch Washington: Review

Hello hello hello. I hope you've all had a lovely bank holiday..the extra day to chill is just the BEST right? I'm currently in bed writing this blog post whilst watching Game of Thrones. I've finally decided to jump on the bandwagon as everyone talks about how amazing is it..I know I'm a little behind the times! Don't haaaaateeeee :/

Anyhooooo on Saturday I went out for lunch and cocktails with the girls and for once I didn't venture into Newcastle. Infact, I stayed in my hometown, Washington and enjoyed an afternoon in the impressive new pizzeria and smokehouse Carter & Fitch.

Carter & Fitch has well and truly upped Washington's eatery game by opening this stylish restaurant on site of the George Washington Hotel. When walking into the venue, I was pleasantly surprised by modernised decor and large bar area. I was taken in by the fashionable titled floor, the exposed brick and copper lighting. Oh and of course the main attraction, the pizza oven towards the back of the restaurant.

First things first we ordered some cocktails, it was bank holiday after all right? All cocktails were around the £7 mark and VERY tasty.

Onto the food! There was a wide variety on the lunch menu including sandwiches, pizzas, platters and a smoked section. The majority of us went for the deal which entailed of a starter and any pizza for £9.95. I couldn't say 'no' to the pizza as we were sat right next to the pizza oven, where it was going to be freshly made.

For starter we all opted for the Thai Fishcakes, they were tasty but a little bit on the hot side for me. Also I think I would of been a little disappointed if I didn't get the deal and pay £3.50 for this dish, as the portion size was quite small. Nevertheless, still worth a try if you like spicy food.

For main, I went for the Chorizo di Pollo pizza, Mel went for the Fungi and Sarah went for a pizza from the specials board. I can't remember the name of the pizza but it was covered in pork made with five spices. All pizza were thin crust with a super soft centre and a crispy edging..YUM! Emily went for the pulled pork burger which was served with spicy wedges and a BBQ dip. Everyone absolutely loved their mains, my pizza was simply...DELICIOUS! I couldn't finish it all but the waitress kindly boxed it up so I could take it home.

Carter & Fitch have a great outdoor area with a number of seats and heated umbrellas. I can already see myself now, chilling outside with a cocktail in hand in the Summer! If Summer ever making an appearance? Anyone else sick of this crap weather? :(

Overall, we were all surprised how we haven't ventured to Cater & Fitch before now, especially how we live in Washington. We all can't wait to return and try out more of their cocktails aswell as their dinner menu.

I will definitely be coming next time with an empty stomach so I can try something from their pudding menu. It all sounds DREAMY!

Obsessed, Impressed And Nonplussed Beauty Products

After reading this month Cosmopolitan, I was loving Ingebord Van Lotringen beauty page "Inge Has Issues'. In fact, it give me the inspiration to write this blog post about beauty products that I am obsessed, impressed and nonplussed with lately. To be honest I could of chose a number of products but I wilted it down to only 6 products so here goes....

I am beyond obsessed with Topshop Glow Highlighter and Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. Topshop Glow Highlighter comes in a small screw top jar with the classic Topshop package (little stars) around the edge. Although the size of the produce seems quite small, one jar will last around a year. You only need the smallest amount when applying as it goes a long way. I've found applying it with my finger tip is much better than using a brush as it soaks into the skin much better than when using a brush. I not only apply it to my cheeky bones but underneath my eyebrows to make them stand out a little more. I LOVE IT! Everyone needs a little glow jar in their makeup bag to bright up their face and for only £9, it's a dreamy highlighter.

I have worn MAC Foundation Studio Fix NW20 for as long as I can remember and I can't really fault the coverage it gives me in terms of covering my acne scars. However, using it everyday isn't great for my bank balance or my skin for an everyday makeup look. After searching and reading a few reviews on Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation I had to try it for myself, especially prices at £9.99. I took my NW20 to the shop with me so I could try and get a similar shade, if not a little bit lighter. I ended up going for no.53 'Light Beige' and it's perfect for my skin tone. I have been using this product everyday since adding it to my makeup collection....I'm literally obsessed! It makes my skin look flawless and it doesn't feel as heavy as Studio Fix Foundation. The only thing I would say is, it sometimes comes off my nose a little bit but nothing a bit of powder doesn't sort out. If you're wanting to try this product yourself, I'm sure you will find a shade for you as it comes in 8 different ones. I have just been stocking up on this product as Superdrug has their 3 for 2 offer on. Three foundations for £19.98..BARGAIN! Click HERE to view.

Lets talk about two products I am impressed with! Well I have been impressed with Jolen Creme Bleach for years now, but I thought I would let my blog readers know about this products because I've just recently purchased some more. I have had dark hairs on my under lip for a good 9 years now and I have always been scared to get it waxed, just incase it came in thicker and darker. With this in mind, I have always used the Jolen Creme Bleach every 2 weeks to get rid of any dark hairs and it literally works wonders. I leave it on for about 10- 15 minutes and my upper lip hairs go blonde and really soft. I honestly couldn't live without this product in my life! If you have the same problem as me and you're a little bit self conscience about your dark hairs, this is the product for you. You can get Jolen Creme Bleach from a number of stores, I recently bought some from Superdrug for £4.19, which I don't think is badly priced as it lasts me for about a year.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, one word AMAZING! This product has been out a while and alot of you might be thinking cleansing water, why would you pay for water? But I am a girl who wears makeup everyday and loves to apply alot of mascara but absolutely hate waking up with black panda eyes. This water is non-drying, non- irritating and doesn't cause any breakouts to my skin, it just leaves my skin feel cool and refreshing and of course makeup FREE! Do shop around for this product as beauty stores always have it on offer. I have just picked up a 400ml bottle from Superdrug for £3.39. I literally couldn't fault this product or the price.

The beauty products I am nonplussed with are NIVEA shaving balm and La Girl Pro Prep. The NIVEA shaving balm has been everywhere lately and everyone has been loving it in terms of a makeup primer. Don't get me wrong, the NIVEA shaving balm feels great on the skin as it gives you a really refreshing feel but I have not found this product in terms of a primer...any good. Aswell as the Nivea shaving balm, the La Girl pro prep again didn't seem to keep my makeup on any longer than normal. I had high hopes for this La Girl product because I LOVE their concealer...HUMPH! Lets just say I'm not having a good experience with primers at the moment so if anyone has came across a good one lately, do let me know!

What products are you obsessed, impressed and nonplussed with?
I would love to hear from you.
Lots of love
